## What is the problem?

Food systems are responsible for around a third of all global greenhouse gas emissions, and animal products are the dominant driver. Meat and dairy alone generate more emissions than all the world's planes, ships, and cars combined. Every meal University of Geneva serves is a choice between perpetuating this crisis or being part of the solution.

## What can we do?

### Nearly 1,000 meals served per day at University of Geneva

Every plate is a decision University of Geneva makes and can change. University of Geneva has already committed to reducing its CO₂ emissions by half every decade, starting in 2020. Going 100% plant-based is one of the most visible, controllable ways to actually deliver on that promise.

## Is that even possible?

The University of Graz has switched to an entirely plant-based diet. The University of Fribourg will very soon be serving 100 % plant-based meals as standard — and the University of Geneva could well be next\!
